Coppersys is seeking a talented Senior Software QA Engineer with great attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability to join our software team. You will be responsible for examining all aspects of the application functionality with attention to details. We expect you to be a forward-thinking engineer who can bring software quality improvement ideas and new strategies to help our clients.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Business and Development teams to analyze requirements, draft test cases, and maintain automated tests. This role also includes evaluating existing scripts and supporting test strategy in an Agile environment. While some manual testing will be required initially, this role also requires using some automation.
Duties
Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios
Execute tests on software usability
Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
Develop and maintain test scripts to reduce repetition
Ensure that software is compliant with established quality standards
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Collaborate with the team to develop effective strategies and test plans
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for utility applications
Validate system functionality, performance, and reliability to ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements
Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Azure DevOps
Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing before production releases
Verify that system enhancements do not impact existing utility workflows
Oversee testing efforts for production deployments
Giving assistance in requirement gathering
Attend DSU, refinement and retro meetings
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
Attend daily Scrum meetings
Requirements
5+ years of QA experience with strong automation background
Hands-on experience with Selenium and Python
API testing tools such as Postman
Strong SQL skills for backend validations
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong Agile and Scrum leadership experience preferred
